Societal challenge
I created this image for the week five task, which was to create an image that challenges society’s values. I got the idea from a line from Ugly Betty where she asks the fashion magazine editor why they can’t use ‘fuller’ models and the answer was that the bigger models would take away the attention of the clothes and that that the models are super skinny because they are ‘just coat-hangers’. I liked this concept and wanted to implement it literally to challenge society’s desire and love of fashion.
